Software Engineer – VoIP/Communications (m/f)

Your Job

  • Develop our VoIP platform and help integrate the solution into our clients
  • Support the team with the architecture, design, development, and deployment of applications consistent with product and technical roadmaps
  • Write unit tests and perform mutual code reviews within the team to ensure high code quality
  • Determine resources, technology, and course of action to achieve results

Your Profile

  • Experience and working knowledge of VoIP and messaging protocols such as SIP and XMPP
  • Experience with VoIP open source projects like FreeSWITCH, Asterisk, OpenSIPS/Kamailio, Prosody, Jitsi Videobridge
  • Have good working knowledge of VoIP session setup and teardown, 3rd party call control, PBX/voice application/IVR features using SIP
  • Possess strong knowledge and experience with cloud architectures and common open source tools related to load balancing, database, HTTPS, pub/sub, WSS/HTTP2.0/QUIC
  • Possess strong skills writing readable code with unit test coverage
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Golang is a plus
  • Experience with Git and continuous integration systems
  • Experience with DevOps/SRE practices
  • Experience with Agile Development methodologies
  • Mobile development (iOS/Android) (preferred)
  • Web development (HTML5/JavaScript) (preferred)
  • Possess strong troubleshooting skills and experience with VoIP/network testing tools including Wireshark and SIPp
  • Server-side application development on Cloud/Linux based environment, working with real-time communications at scale with security and high availability
  • You enjoy working in a dynamic environment where you can develop your skills and competencies, and take on responsibility
  • You appreciate open and constructive dialog with your fellow team members
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • You’re eager to learn new technologies and contribute to projects outside of your core strengths
  • You’ve excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to any non-technical co-workers
  • Good knowledge of English and/or German complete your profile
